Dadhood founder Tony Trammell served on the board of directors of a pregnancy resource center for 11 years. From the beginning, he felt a burden to reach and serve the men who came into the center. He met with his first clients in 2001.
In 2003 the Lord opened a door for him to start a full-time men's ministry with no budget and no resources. Finding nothing available to truly help train expectant fathers or counsel abortion-minded men, he began to write and create what is now the "Preparing for Dadhood" curriculum and "Defending Dadhood" handbook.
Over the next 7 years he personally coached several hundred clients at 3 locations. He launched Dadhood in 2010, which now partners with centers across America to help them prepare young men for fatherhood, counsel those who are abortion-minded, and establish and equip men's ministries. To help centers start or build a men's ministry he wrote the book "Building Dads in Pink Buildings" in 2014.
